First impressions: Edenglassie and Orbital

Edenglassie and Orbital both joined the list this year, and both are quietly harder to write about well than they look on a first read.

Edenglassie's dual timeline rewards students who track how the two eras comment on each other, not just what happens in each. Orbital rewards patience — its plot is thin by design, and the essay has to be built on its handling of time and perspective instead.

Full guides for both are already in the text guides section, with practice prompts for each.
